Work as a Control Systems Field Engineer- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Troubleshoot SCADA networks, control panels, human machine interfaces, Installation, start up and testing of new Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based SCADA systems, Retrofitting existing plc controls panels, plc software and HMI software, Engaging with SCADA vendors and manufactures to understand product capabilities, Commissioning of PLC based SCADA systems; Design and integration of SCADA and PLC based control systems. Development and debugging of SCADA and plc software such as RS Logix 5000, RS LINX, WINCC, step 7, ignition. Inspection, testing and commissioning of control systems in the infrastructure domain. Maintenance and troubleshooting of SCADA, PLC based control systems, machine control networks and instrumentation installed at client sites. Interface with clients to make modifications and corrections to installed SCADA systems. Develop and maintain project documents using AUTOCAD, Excel etc. Develop documentation and perform SCADA system factory and site acceptance tests. Utilize extensive knowledge of fire life safety systems for critical transportation infrastructure facilities. Expertise in programming and integration of Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider and MODICON PLCS with the following software step 7, RS logix-500, 5000 studio and RS LINX. Expertise in programming and integration of Rockwell, siemens, and inductive human machine interface SCADA software such as WINCC, Wonderware and ignition. Inspection, commissioning, and testing of industrial control systems in the transportation sector. Troubleshooting complex electromechanical industrial control systems which operate 24/7, 365 days a year. Daily commutable distance into NYC given field assignment locations.
TRAVEL: Field work approximately 50% of the time within commutable distance from the Jacobs NYC office.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or closely related major, and 4 years of work experience in an Instrumentation and Control Systems or related occupation.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Special Skills or Other Requirements: Expertise with design and specification of SCADA based PLC control systems using tools like AutoCAD. Expertise with integration, testing and commissioning of SCADA based PLC control systems. Expertise with automating water treatment process control systems. Expertise with automating food and beverage packaging control systems. Expertise with designing and configuring communication networks related to industrial control systems. Expertise with programming of PLC and SCADA software/ hardware platforms: Siemens Step 7, WinCC, Studio5000, RSLogix5000, AND Ignition by Inductive Automation.
