Job Title: Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

Job Description

Design, develop, modify, and evaluate instrumentation and control (I&C) and electrical systems and equipment for industrial applications. Work on designing process systems, mechanical equipment, and mechanisms in nuclear power plants, commercial and government nuclear fuel processing plants, chemical plants, refineries, and power plants. Familiarity and experience with NQA-1, 10CFR50, and 10CFR21 QA standards are a plus. Determine design approaches and parameters, prepare design and procurement specifications, design basis documents, system design descriptions, proposals, whitepapers, trade studies, models, drawings, and calculations. Develop and give presentations to colleagues, customers, and management. Duties include motion control engineering and design, Control System Design, PLC Programming, and HMI Development using Rockwell Automation RSLogix/Studio 5000. Select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability, review vendor capability, and use computer-assisted engineering, design, and modeling software including MATLAB. Apply electrical and general engineering principles to accomplish goals, work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and supervise the activities of others.

This is a fully on-site position in Huntsville, Alabama.

Work Environment

Onsite in Huntsville, AL. Small team of 4 on particular project, with potential to move to larger projects/teams.
