Due to continued growth, Nuclear Services Group is looking for Lead I&C Engineer onsite at Crane Clean Energy Center (formerly TMI 1) in Middletown, PA. In this role, you will coordinate with diverse disciplines, review designs, and manage projects with autonomy. Responsibilities Performing a variety of complex digital I&C design engineering activities that will also include some basic electrical design tasks.Preparing Engineering Change Packages (ECP) to replace or upgrade obsolete analog-based I&C systems with modern computer-based I&C systems and components.Preparing ECPs to install new digital I&C equipment and systems.Mentoring employees through on-the-job training opportunities to engineers assigned to you.Monitoring, tracking, and assigning tasks and projects to employees.Performing weekly remote check-ins with team members.Supporting supervision by participating in preparation of periodic performance reviews.Conducting regular observations and providing coaching and positive feedback where warranted.Communicating with supervision regularly regarding tasks and duties and supporting management and supervision initiatives.Performing engineering calculations and preparing design studies, project scopes, and engineering estimates.Performing review of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) digital platform hardware and software technical documentation for specified applications. Providing estimates to Project Management to support budget and schedule development. Participating in project meetings, working interactively with colleagues and clients to develop strong relationships.Planning and implementing the timely execution of assigned engineering activities.Performing site walkdowns as needed for you own projects and those of employees under your care to identify design solutions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Minimum of 7 years of I&C engineering experience in the nuclear industry. EIT or PE License in one or more states preferredKnowledge of digital hardware and software components commonly used in digital I&C system platforms, or a strong desire to learn.Willingness to learn how to perform electrical design tasks required to support I&C design.Direct involvement in the entire digital upgrade life cycle including feasibility studies, procurement specifications, design change packages, FAT/SAT test procedure development, installation, and testing.Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at this client siteStrong oral and written communication skills.Ability to motivate team and achieve goals through positive, winning attitude and effective leadership style which is consistent with ENERCON’s Defining Excellence fundamentalsProblem-solving and general scientific evaluation skillsProficient in Word and ExcelAbility to be an individual contributor and work effectively in a team environment.Strong analytical skills and problem identification/resolutionMust be able to perform plant walkdowns, crawling, climbing ladders, and navigating uneven terrain.This position may offer per diem for non local candidates.
