What you’ll do:

The Instrumentation and Electrical Distribution Technician (B-Level)  provides hands on technical support for electrical maintenance, process controls instrumentation, sophisticated analytical equipment, and automated electrical systems in a chemical manufacturing plant.  Services provided by the technician include installation, checkout, startup, and troubleshooting process controls, robotics and conveyer systems, and electrical distribution systems. Weekly PM and calibration of analytical equipment and sampling systems, function checking transmitters, and annual safety and compliance testing per regulatory requirements are regular tasks.

 Perform routine, unscheduled, and preventative PCS maintenance jobs that 1) return disabled equipment to a safe working condition or 2) thru regular routine or preventative activities, maintain equipment in good, safe working condition to eliminate unscheduled outages;Install new equipment or make modifications to existing equipment that will enhance the operation of process equipment;Troubleshoot PCS equipment or system failures to determine an appropriate solution;Participate in reviews regarding repairs, replacements, failure analysis, installations and modifications of electrical and instrumentation equipment;Perform calibration and testing of PCS systems and related equipment;Computer knowledge, understanding of diagrams, prints, NFPA 70E and use of multimeter;Observe all company work and safety procedures;Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and facilities;Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.

 

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.Ability to pass a post-offer physical and perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.Hours: Monday through Friday 6:45am start time; 8 or10-hour shifts.  Overtime required as needed.Must have a valid driver’s license. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

At least four years fulltime work, school, or military experience;  Areas of Work/School/Military Experience may include but not limited to:Industrial Instrumentation and Technologies;Industrial Electrical Maintenance or Construction;Distributive Controls Systems (DCS) or Programmable Logic Controller (PLC;)Installation, maintenance, and calibration of PH, Conductivity, O2, various types of area monitors, various types of flow meters, level, pressure, and temperature transmitters.Experience with Process analyzers, sensors, and sampling systems;Packaging and/or robotics equipment;Siemens Building Automation system troubleshooting experience;Familiar with Emerson Delta V DCS;Low or Medium voltage experience (24VAC-600VAC) (601VAC-15kVAC);Experience working with ultrasonic analysis, IR camera or PDMA
