The Job You Will Perform:
Being a catalyst for change in the areas of Safety and Craftsmanship.Directs the activities of the team so they safely perform high quality work within the guidelines of mill policies and procedures.
Works collaboratively with Operations and Reliability staff to determine ways to assure and improve the reliability of equipment and systems, minimizing the amount of rework that needs to be completed.
Supervises safe work activities of an entire maintenance team. Must be a visible leader within the team.
Leadership, including workforce engagement, diversity, employee and staff development.
Financial Management, including establishing and managing budgets and compliance with financial controls.
Authorized to make decisions affecting the quality of maintenance processes and to recommend shutdown of production for emergency repairs.
Communicate any quality issues to operations department(s.)
Be an active participant in daily MWS processes to ensure work is planned, scheduled and executed according to site standardized work systems. Be an advocate of the MWS process within the teams you support.
Make sure any maintenance repairs needed are put into the work order system on a timely basis. Expedite emergency work.
Time approver for the team’s daily activities.
Works closely with the Electrical AMM and reliability leaders on IEPM element initiatives.
The Qualifications You Will Bring:
High School diploma required Journeyman in Intrumentation trade or Instrumentation Engineering Technologist Track record of motivating others and working across boundaries to achieve challenging goals required Drive to lead, troubleshoot, solve problems and optimize performance required Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role required Pulp & Paper Mill Maintenance experience preferred
