Your OpportunityWe are currently seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Designer (Industrial) in our Winnipeg Office. Joining our Industrial Buildings group will provide exposure to a wide variety of projects – from advanced manufacturing to food and beverage to renewable energy – and everything in between.
Your Key Responsibilities Provide design experience, from conceptual through detailed engineering, related to instrumentation, controls and automation associated with industrial buildings projects. Undertake and or assisting in project coordination responsibilities, including scheduling, estimating, and project progressing. Review and coordination of vendors and other discipline documents. Participate in site visits when required. Ensure that work conforms to applicable codes, standards, and client specifications. Your Capabilities and Credentials Good working knowledge of CAD, Visio, Bluebeam and MS Office. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal & written. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with manufacturing, energy and pipeline facilities, refinery, or extraction would be a major asset. Experience with PFDs, PIDs, control panel layouts, instrument data sheets, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, communications and network design. Experience working with HMIs, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA. Ability to multitask - must be a self-starter, and motivated. Should be willing to receive and provide direction. Should be willing to assist on non-industrial projects when needed. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering, Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent required.
