Purpose\:

Intermediate Instrumentation Designer designer with design experience in refineries and petrochemical. Candidate must be able to work independently, be a self-starter and have excellent communication skills and work well within the project and discipline team.

Responsibilities\:

Provide design support on small to a medium size project. Understand project scope and interpret design input drawings/documents to produce typical deliverables like\: Instrument Index and I/O List Instrument datasheet Installation details Material Take off or Bill of Materials Block diagrams Junction box wiring diagrams Instrument loop diagrams Instrument location diagrams Instrument Installation details Control panel design Power distribution and relay schematics Cable schedules Cable and Conduit layout & routing Cable selections and cable routing Instrumentation wiring details Review and extract data from vendor packages Experience with PLCs and DCS. Preferably Emerson DeltaV , Foxboro EcoStruxure or ABBxA DCS and Modicon , GE or Rockwell PLC. Experience with Fire Detection and Alarm system design is preferred. Experience with Access Control Systems is a plus Experience with CCTV and HVAC systems is a plus Experience with SPI to produce Instrument Index, Datasheets, wiring and loop is preferred and not a must. Experience with the AVEVA E3D and Navisworks. Drafting knowledge in an AutoCad and Microstation environment. *

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements\:

College diploma with 5 or more years of relevant experience. Project experience in mining, minerals & metals projects highly desired. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
