Instrumentation & Electrical Technician Entry
Overview: Performs basic I&E duties under supervision. Provides assistance in installation of pneumatic tubing and electronic installation on equipment in the production area.    Essential Duties:   - Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.  - Perform Minor Electrical repairs and installs alone or as part of a team. Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion. Utilize on the job training of all shop mechanic personnel.   - Perform basic installation of pneumatic tubing and basic layout of tubing on skids.  - Read General Adjustment and P&ID drawings.   - Assist with fabrication of bracket braces and instrument racks.  - Assist in required testing of tubing.  - Assist in running conduit of varying sizes.  - Make final electrical connections after installation of conduit and tubing.  - Report problems arising during the test cycle on units.  - Assist in testing of control panels and make connections which ensure the function of the panel yields accurate results.  - Assist in certifying units, final inspections, and test documents.  - Assist with mechanical assembly.  - Bend, fabricate, and install rigid / aluminum EMT, plasti-bond conduit, tubing, and stainless steel 1/4" - 1" diameter.  Non-Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.  All employees shall be in compliance with the Archrock Health Safety and Environmental Policy and local, statutory and/or regulatory requirements at all times.    Skills and Abilities:    Ability to:  -Perform all assigned duties.  - Assist in troubleshooting issues.  - Perform required testing of tubing.  - Develop proficiency in order to perform quality, efficient work with less assistance.  - Comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.    Knowledge:  - Knowledge of pneumatic tubing types.  - General understanding of end devices and system flow.    Minimum Education and Certification:  - High school diploma or equivalent.  - Technical training preferred.    Minimum Experience:  - 0-1 year related experience.  - Some experience in the area of electronics.    Leadership:  - No leadership responsibilities.    Physical Demands: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions)  - Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed.  - Must meet the medical requirements necessary to wear PPE required by role (includes respiratory protection medical requirements as required by role).  - Constantly required to display good manual dexterity and to reach with hands and arms.  - Constantly required to talk and hear.  - Frequently required to sit while driving or using a PC.  - Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, and twist with good balance.  - Regularly required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 110 pounds.  - Occasionally required to carry at least 40 pounds with one hand for at least 10 feet.  - Occasionally required to crawl, climb in and around equipment, stairs and vertical ladders.  - Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.    Problem Solving and Innovation:  - Problems / issues are well-defined with guidance available to provide solutions.  - Opportunity for innovation does not arise frequently.    Impact:  - Actions and decisions impact operational results in immediate work area.    This job description is a summary of essential job functions.  It is not intended as an employment contract, nor is it intended to describe all duties someone in this position may perform.  All employees are expected to perform tasks, as assigned by supervisor, regardless of job title or routine job duties.
