Instrumentation/Electrical Technician - (On the Road) (Full Time) - Montreal, QC
The person will be mainly responsible for the maintenance (instrumentation / electricity) as well as the proper functioning of several automated plants located across Quebec and Ontario. He or she must be autonomous, resourceful, and rigorous to manage projects related to equipment and processes. He or she will be required to travel outside, to the sites of the various factories, about 50% of her time.
The position also requires periodic on-call availability.
Job Description
Plan and perform required maintenance on equipment.Calibration and testing of all critical components of the safety system, equipment protection and quality control.Troubleshooting and replacement of failed or defective instruments, including actuators, regulators, solenoids, transmitters, switches, sensors, and analyzers.Maintenance and troubleshooting of plant PLCs, card replacement, and logic changes.Responsible for the system of preventive maintenance management of instrumentation.Ordering spare parts and components and servicing critical spare parts.Ensure the proper functioning of industrial production equipment.Will be required to travel outside to the sites of the various factories, approximately 50% of his or her time.On call periodically, in the event of a breakdown outside of business hours.Location: Main Office – Montreal East

Professional Diploma – Instrumentation or equivalent.C License.3-5 years of relevant experienceHold a valid Class 5 driver's license.Experience in the maintenance of industrial equipment: PLCs, Sensors, Transmitters, Actuators, Regulators, Solenoids and Analyzers.Experience in automated control.Knowledge of programmable logic controllers, instrumentation, and electricity.Available to travel within Quebec and Ontario (50% of the time) Be available for overtime work.Be available to be on call on a periodic basis.
