The Instrumentation & Electrics Technician is responsible for managing repairs and lead solving and implementing process improvements for low voltage electrical systems and metrology tasks at the Lengnau facility. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance and reliability, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, reducing costs of electrical systems, controls, conducting routine calibrations, and supporting manufacturing operations. This role involves collaborating with multi-functional teams, ensuring compliance with GMP standards, and maintaining accurate documentation of manufacturing processes.
Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Technical Responsibilities
Electrical System & Instrumentation Maintenance: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance system & manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.Technical Support: Provide technical support to manufacturing operations & maintenance teams, solving issues, and ensuring smooth production processes with instumation and electrical systems.Quickly identify and resolve electrical and metrology issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.Design and Development: Support projects and collaborate with design and development teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and processes.Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with GMP standards and other regulatory requirements. Support and Assess Deviations, Changes and implement CAPAs to comply to GMP standards and regulatory requirementsCompliance: Ensure all maintenance and calibration activities follow GMP standards and other regulatory requirements.Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions.Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.Training: Train maintenance & operations staff on new processes, equipment, and standard methodologies to ensure consistent and efficient operations.Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team leads and other team members to coordinate maintenance and calibration activities and priorities.Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operations.Safety: Ensure all manufacturing activities align with safety laws and standard processes to maintain a safe working environment.Quality

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Metrology, or a related field.Additional certification in metrology or calibration is preferred.Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ) as an Electrician or equivalent certification recognized in Switzerland to be allowed to complete electrical work by Swiss Law and standards is preferred.Experience & Competences
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and calibration, preferably in a GMP manufacturing facility.Demonstrated experience in process improvement, production support, and equipment maintenance.Strong understanding of process automation and technical process operations.Excellent planning and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.GMP experience is a must.Additional Requirements
