Instrumentation Tech (Full-Time) - Saint John, NB

We are currently recruiting for an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to join our team at the Saint John CO2 Plant in New Brunswick. This position is critical to the safety, reliability and quality of the plant operation and merchant market product supply.

Instrumentation/Electrical Technician

Calibration and testing of all Critical Safety System, Equipment Protection and Quality Control components. Trouble shooting and replacement of failed or defective instrumentation including actuators, regulators, solenoids, transmitters, switches, sensors, and analyzers. Maintenance of the plant PLCs with respect to troubleshooting, card replacements and logic changes. Responsible for Instrumentation Preventative Maintenance Work Order System.Ordering of replacement parts and components and the maintaining of critical shelf plant spares. Planning and execution of plant turnaround work. Ability to start, operate and shutdown the plantOn-call for afterhours failures

Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation Control Technician CertificateRed Seal Industrial Electrician Certificate5 years experience in an industrial plant environment required.Operating and maintenance experience with process, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.Previous plant and/or industrial gas experience a plus.Strong safety cultureValid driver’s licenseAble to meet physical job requirements (lift 25 kg, climb stairs and ladders)Proficient in English
