**Instrumentation Technician** TEMPLE, TEXAS **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician who will perform a variety of instrumentation and automation services, including troubleshooting, calibration, installation, testing, and commissioning. The role involves working with a range of instruments and tools, setting up new instrumentation, and performing both preventive and corrective maintenance. You will also assist with various installation and maintenance projects for automating large industrial processes. **Responsibilities** + Perform a variety of instrumentation and automation services, including troubleshooting, calibration, installation, testing, and commissioning. + Troubleshoot instrumentation functionality and I/O to repair instrumentation, typically involving calibration using a variety of meters and tools. + Set up new instrumentation and calibrate specifications using schematics and drawings. + Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment. + Assist with a variety of related installation and maintenance projects for automating large industrial processes. + Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce reports. + Work with engineers testing and commissioning PLC systems. **Essential Skills** + 4 years of experience as an instrumentation technician. + Technical knowledge of the operation of AC and DC drives. + A thorough understanding of speed feedback devices theory and application. + Understanding of temperature control and temperature components. + Good understanding of PID and control loops. + Good understanding of Ethernet communications and connections. + Proficiency in PLC and HMI systems, including communications drivers and connections, PLC program navigation, and controlled manipulation. + Thorough understanding of all electrical components and electronic devices. + Ability to diagnose defective components, motors, drives, and electronic components. + Ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of electrical construction, conduit installation, wire pulling, bending conduit, blueprint reading, cable management, and electrical wiring. **Why Work Here?** Great company with family values.
