Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to perform troubleshooting maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems in an engine lab setting. The role involves working with equipment used for automotive engine performance research and requires calibration experience for setting up instrumentation equipment. Assembly experience with wiring harnesses is a plus. The candidate will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems connected to engines for research and testing purposes.
ResponsibilitiesPerform troubleshooting maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.Work with equipment used for automotive engine performance research.Set up instrumentation equipment with calibration experience.Assemble wiring harnesses as needed.Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems connected to engines for research and testing.Read and interpret schematics for wiring and instrumentation.Essential SkillsExperience with troubleshooting maintenance of electronic instrument devices.Calibration experience with instrumentation equipment.Ability to read and interpret schematics.Experience with wiring harnesses.Proficiency with micrometers and oscilloscopes.Associates degree in engineering or instrumentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with research and development (R&D) in the automotive field.Experience in the assembly of wiring harnesses.Work Environment
The role is based in an engine lab/research facility. The work environment is focused on innovative automotive research. The candidate will use various technologies and equipment, including oscilloscopes and micrometers. The position requires attention to detail and precision in a research-oriented setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
