Responsibilities
Verifying insurance and entering insurance benefits information into the system
Obtaining authorization for medical procedures
Advising self-pay patients of their medical care options
Reviewing and following up on pending authorization requests
Initiating and tracking referrals, insurance verification, and authorizations

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications
2-5 Years of Medical Insurance Authorization Experience (preferably a large surgical practice)
Strong communication and coordination skills
Experience in insurance authorization required
Knowledge of medical terminology, and Proficiency in relevant software applications
EMR experience required (EPIC highly preferred)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
