Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Insurance Coordinator within the local government sector located in Baltimore, Maryland. As an Insurance Coordinator, you will be managing the process of patient access, ensuring insurance verification, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities: • Manage the process of patient registration using Epic EMR software • Verify patient insurance details and update records in the system • Work through the queue in the Epic workflow and resolve any pending tasks • Provide high-quality customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in the database • Utilize your proficiency in Spanish and EMR to cater to a diverse patient base • Ensure the effective communication of insurance and registration details to patients • Monitor patient accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks • Adapt to changes in structure or processes as each clinic operates independently. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Insurance Coordinator role or similar within the Local Government industry. • Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) is required. • Experience with Epic EMR and Epic Software is a significant advantage. • Ability to handle patient registration and maintain patient demographic information accurately. • Familiarity with insurance verifications and understanding of health care policies. • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Knowledge of health care industry standards and practices. • Certification in Epic is highly desirable. • Experience with Epic Clinical and Epic System is beneficial. • Fluency in the Spanish language is a plus.
