Insurance Customer Service Representative
Job Title: Insurance Customer Service Representative Job Description We are seeking dedicated Insurance Customer Service Representatives who will be responsible for handling inbound calls related to insurance servicing questions. The role offers competitive pay with additional compensation for bilingual skills. Training is conducted fully on-site for the first 30 days, and the position transitions to a hybrid schedule based on performance metrics. Responsibilities + Handle 35-45 inbound calls per day, averaging 11-14 minutes per call. + Address inquiries from borrowers, insurance agents, and financial institutions. + Assist with questions pertaining to homeowners' insurance, specifically payment and coverage issues. + Multi-task between various systems to research and document calls. + Respond quickly and accurately to meet internal and external standards consistently. + Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve issues and maintain professionalism in all interactions. Essential Skills + At least 1 year of recent customer service experience (call center experience preferred). + Proficient in using a Windows PC and navigating software systems. + Typing speed of at least 35 WPM. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Reliable internet connection for remote training and work. + Reliable transportation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2+ years of call center experience. + Experience in mortgage or insurance Why Work Here? The work environment is a call center with a cube-style setup, equipped with dual monitors, wired headsets, and storage cabinets. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and shirts, but no graphic T's or ripped jeans. The facility is clean and can get lively when many people are on calls simultaneously. The call center teams are divided into mortgage servicing and insurance servicing, with ample support available through a live hotline. The role involves an 8-hour shift with permitted breaks and lunch. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
