Insurance Financial Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Insurance Financial Analyst to join our captive insurance team.  The ideal candidate will support the analysis and optimization of business processes, data management, and reporting within our captive insurance operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex financial projects and it is essential in helping our organization make informed decisions and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze data and processes to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement within the captive insurance frameworkAssist in the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.Support the implementation of business solutions and process improvements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.Conduct quantitative research on captive insurance and financial services industry trends and regulatory environment to inform business strategies.Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, including finance, underwriting, and compliance, to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.Participate in project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring of initiatives related to captive insurance.Assist in the preparation of presentations and documentation for stakeholders, summarizing findings and recommendations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to ensure data integrity, compliance with internal policies, and regulatory requirements.Provide support in training and onboarding new team members on business processes and tools related to captive insurance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or a related field.2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the financial services industry.Solid understanding of financial markets, financial accounting, risk management techniques, and statistics are requiredStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.Advanced in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools; experience with business intelligence software is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detailFamiliarity with captive insurance concepts and regulatory requirements is preferred but not required.A proactive attitude and a willingness to work independently and to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
