Job Description:

Indorama Ventures - Indovinya is currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as an Insurance Manager in The Woodlands, TX.  In this role, you will direct the day to day as well as strategic functions of risk and insurance management.  Management of risk exposure data, development of global, regional and local relationships with brokers, underwriters and IVLs senior leadership to ensure the delivery of tangible benefits in insurance procurement and placement.  You will spend the majority of your time developing and monitoring the implementation of the agreed insurance strategy with help of brokers that have partnered with IVL, monitoring and reporting the insurable risk.  You will be office based in The woodlands Texas, working face to face with the global business and insurance team. You will have good data analytics, commercials and experience of developing relationships and have good leadership skills.

What will be expected from you?

Determining the insurable risk and risk retention. Exposure data Management.Insurance Claims Follow-ups.Insurance Policy ownership.Setting up robust incidence reporting system. Premium allocations and payable management in SAP environment.Liaising with Global and Regional insurance & risk teams.Help commercial teams review and advise on insurance clauses in contracts.Defining the placement strategy for all lines of business and monitoring its implementation.Holding brokers accountable for the delivery of the agreed services.Liaising with underwriters to achieve the desired levels of cover on appropriate commercial terms and/or exploit appropriate reinsurer capacity, data and expertise to maximize protection and cost efficiencies.Actively contributing to the development of IVLs insurance strategy. Planning, monitoring, managing and controlling reports with business operations, ensuring strict delivery of the EHS risk management agenda.Building and maintaining effective working relationships with other business areas and functions in order to maximize the effective operation of the team/department/unit.Representing IVL externally, taking a leading role in influencing market expectations, direction, standards in line with IVLs best interests and commercial priorities and promoting IVL as a leading petrochemical client.  Process innovation- Supporting and encouraging the identification and implementation of appropriate new and/or better ways of doing things so as to improve service and/or efficiency. Leading the development and management of strategic relationships with brokers and underwriters, lever on global group relations. Optimize cost of risk equity- manage captive insurance function.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

Minimum of 7 years experience in an insurer or retail broker working in Americas.Candidates with formal professional qualifications in Insurance & risk management are heavily encouraged to apply.  Deep understanding of global and American insurance programs.Good understanding of risk placement and reinsurance in Oil &Gas or chemical industry.High level of finance & accounting understanding.
