We are seeking a talented individual to join our Captive Insurance team at Marsh and this role will be based in Dublin.
This permanent role is based in Dublin is part of a Client Service Team to ensure the efficient handling of all captive (re) insurance programmes under management.
The Insurance Manager assists in the provision of technical support and advice on (re)insurance matters, to both Clients and Colleagues and to actively encourage the creative use of the captives on an ongoing basis and assist in production of new business opportunities.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
Manage the client relationship and the day-to-day delivery of captive insurance services for a portfolio of captive insurance and reinsurance companies, regarding all insurance and claims activities/matters.Review client deliverables to ensure satisfactory client service and to brief the client on insurance and claims related matters within the captive.Ensuring that insurance documentation is correct and in place in a timely manner and, where necessary, prepare, review, draft and issue insurance policies, reinsurance agreements, certificates of cover and endorsements etc.Responding promptly to Clients’, Insureds’ and Brokers’ queries on insurance and reinsurance matters affecting captives under management.Assisting in the placing of adequate reinsurance protections and the monitoring of same on an ongoing basis.Managing premium and claims data in captive management systems to enable preparation of management accounts and financial statements.Preparation of documentation for board meetings, attendance at the board meetings and presentation of the (re) insurance related matters to the board.Ensuring ongoing compliance with Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) requirements and be responsible for the settlement of IPT and liaising with IPT service providers.Keeping up to date in all relevant areas of international and local insurance practice and insurance legislation.What you need to have:
