What the day will look like Leading all aspects of the insurance needs of clients from varied industries, such as advising the client on insurance matters; collaborating with clients, brokers, reinsurers, and tax/legal counsel to craft and evaluate insurance policy terms and conditions, as well as contrast written coverage to outgoing/ceded reinsurance. Serving as the primary contact on insurance related matters and effectively communicate program details to ensure understanding by all parties Ensuring timely and efficient organization of insurance and reinsurance documentation Coordinating efforts with outside brokers/consultants to lead renewals or implement new programs Collaborating closely with financial professionals on the internal client service team to ensure a comprehensive and dovetailed approach to meeting the clients’ needs Communicating changes to the client insurance program/business plan with state regulators Preparing and presenting materials during annual client board meetings, ensuring quality and inclusion of beneficial information How this opportunity is different As an Insurance Officer, you will work with Risk Managers from a multitude of industries, including managers of multinational, broadly recognized companies, who will look to you to help them build and grow their captive business. Skills and experience that will lead to success Experience within Multiple lines of Commercial Insurance including, Property, Casualty, Marine, Financial lines, K&R etc. First-hand brokerage and/or underwriting experience or similar background Captive experience preferred; CPCU or other insurance professional designations a plus Ability to explain various coverages and how they work, often to parties without an extensive insurance background, both internally and client facing Proven track record to service clients with a high level of responsiveness to both internal and external stakeholders Education: bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
