Job Description: Insurance Representative - Pre-Arrival We are currently looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented professional to join our expanding team of Insurance Representatives - Pre-Arrival. Key Responsibilities: + Determine and verify insurance coverage and coordination of benefits from all sources. + Confirm insurance coverage and procedures, identifying the need for pre-authorization and obtaining necessary approvals for scheduled procedures. + Enter patient insurance, authorization, and order/RX information into the patient record, documenting insurance coverage of services to be provided. + Notify patients/payers of their financial responsibility for services and communicate any unauthorized services to patients and practitioners. + Engage in proactive communication with patients, practitioners, and payers regarding financial responsibility and financial clearance issues. Qualifications: + Previous medical office or hospital clerical experience. + Extensive background in customer service. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Working knowledge of insurance verification, pre-authorization, and medical necessity. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. + Quick and accurate keyboarding skills.
