Insurance & Risk Analyst

As a key member of the Global Insurance and Risk team, the Insurance and Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the day to day insurance and related risk management activities on behalf of the organization. This also involves assisting the Insurance and Risk management team with assessing insurance needs, analyzing risk exposure, and making recommendations to safeguard the company against potential financial losses.

Insurance Management:Assist with renewal process for all the company’s insurance policies (e.g., property, casualty, workers compensation, environmental, director and officers, financial lines, warehouse legal liability, etc.)Manage and lead completion of insurance applicationsFacilitate and own certificates of insuranceLead and maintain an insurance database for all insurance documentation, including but not limited policies, invoices, and other relevant documentsCoordinate timely payment of insurance costs with Accounts PayableData Analysis and Reporting:Collect and analyze data related to risk, claims history and insurance premiumsOwn reporting process for insurance and claimsMonthly and Quarterly Interface with General Accounting to ensure all insurance related transactions, including allocations and accruals, are recorded correctlyInterface with Information Technology for ad hoc reportingVendor Management: Interact daily and weekly with Insurance Brokers and other key third-party stakeholdersM&A: Assist with due diligence and risk management for acquisitionsClaims Management: Assist with the submission, tracking, and resolution of insurance claims. Lead the claim reporting processRisk Assessment: Support the Insurance and Risk management team with analyzing and managing total cost of riskCompliance: Assist the Insurance and Risk Management team and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards and best practices in risk management and insurance

Educational/Job Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree, preferred Accounting, Finance, or Risk ManagementOne (1) to Three (3) years of experience in risk managementProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointStrong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including building models and data miningExcellent written and oral communication skillsPossess Insurance Designations such as CPCU, ARM, or other equivalent licenses or a desire to obtain within 1 yearGeneral understanding of accounting and budgeting
