Insurance & Risk Specialist - Corporate Insurance (Kansas City)
**Description** The Insurance Administrator will provide technical and administrative support to the Burns & McDonnell Insurance Department. This includes supporting the Insurance Manager with the administration of Burns & McDonnell's corporate property and casualty insurance program, project specific policy placements, contract review, and special projects as needed. This will be an in-office setting at our World Headquarters in Kansas City. + Provide technical advice for insurance and bond requirements, pricing, and other information necessary to assist in the project pursuit efforts and downstream review of lower tier agreements. + Assist with project contract review and negotiations as they relate to insurance and other risk management matters. Including participating in internal and external calls and meetings. + Help project teams understand insurance requirements and redlines/comments made to contracts and their importance so they can make informed decisions on their contracts. + Answer various technical questions on incoming subcontractor contracts and certificates. + Help obtain project specific insurance as required by contract, including builders’ risk, pollution liability and professional liability. + Assist in processing complex insurance certificates. + Provide support in executing insurance policy change requests. + Organize, create and maintain insurance files and related correspondence. + Support placement of project specific Builders Risk coverage and Surety Bonds. + Assist in preparing and updating information for renewal of the corporate insurance program. + All other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field from an accredited program. + Minimum 4 years related experience. + Demonstrated knowledge of multi-line property casualty experience (preferably insurance brokerage) + Experience with Contract reviews, project insurance bid reviews, insurance and bond requirements, and pricing is preferred + Experience in selection and negotiation processes with brokers and insurance carriers is preferred + Engineering, procurement and construction experience is preferred + Corporate or agency experience in commercial insurance services desired. + Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex requests. + Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines required. + Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present information to all levels of employee, management and clients. + The ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently as well as with a group is required. + Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel). + High level of flexibility and adaptability to changing environments is preferred This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled EEO/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans **Job** Legal **Primary Location** US-MO-Kansas City **Schedule:** Full-time **Travel:** Yes, 5 % of the Time **Req ID:** 230904 **Job Hire Type** Experienced #LI-SN #COR N/A
