Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Request and secure authorizations for home care services from health insurance companies. + Follow up with insurance providers to obtain authorization confirmations or additional required documentation. + Accurately update the EMR system with authorization details, including approval dates, service limits, and any special conditions. + Ensure that all authorization information is current and accurately reflects the insurance company's response. + Notify the appropriate clinical and administrative staff of authorization approvals, denials, and any conditions related to the provided services. + Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve issues related to denied or pending authorizations. + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to insurance authorizations. + Stay informed about changes in insurance policies, coding, and billing practices. + Performs other duties as requested.
