This role is responsible for making daily outbound calls from weekly report to attempt to retain existing business that is setting up to cancel for nonpayment of premium. Find solutions for customers by taking a payment to reinstate within preset guidelines, rewrite a policy within guidelines, documentation of all calls through shared spreadsheet and documentation of time dedicated to this endeavor.
Answer and respond to incoming calls regarding coverage questions/changes/re-quotes and underwriting issues for existing insurance customers and transferring those calls to appropriate departments for completion. Utilize customer contact to determine insurance needs. Up-sell and cross-sell insurance products to existing and potential new customers. Interact with all departments, divisions and regions to facilitate discovery of insurance needs and promote insurance sales.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Conduct outbound calls for retention of existing policies cancelled for nonpayment of premium, take payments over the phone from customer to retain, document all customer contact and responses on computer (50%) Answer incoming calls related to coverage questions, changes, requests and underwriting issues on existing customer policies. (35%) Conduct callbacks to existing and potential new customers who request to be contacted at alternative times (5%) Up-sell and cross-sell insurance products to existing and new customers. P&C License strongly preferred High school diploma or equivalent Professional communication skills, both oral and written Detail oriented in a multitasking setting Ability to work in a team-oriented setting Excellent organizational skills Ability to meet goals in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
College degree in marketing, finance or other related field Property & Casualty Insurance License Property & Casualty knowledge and/or agency experience Previous 5 years customer service/retention experience Previous 5 years insurance experience Knowledge of PMS Knowledge of iBill/Exceed Knowledge of AIA ancillary systems/products Works independentlyPay Range
$18.65 - $29.84
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
