Astria Health is seeking a Insurance Specialist to join our team! This position will be a part time day shift position including every other weekend.

 

As the Insurance Specialist you will be responsible for performing insurance-related administrative and functional duties for the organization. You will:

 

Verifies insurance eligibility, benefits and scans verification.  Obtains and communicates patient financial responsibility amount to  be collected.  Obtains insurance authorization and notification for specific payers.Reviews and processes Crime Victims and L&I report of accidents.  Audits and corrects demographic accuracy.Accurately enter patient information into the healthcare system’s database.Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, patient privacy laws, and institutional policies.Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization

 

What you bring to the role:

 

High School Graduate or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency with data entry and software systems. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Oral and written fluency in the English language.
