Location: hybrid role in Detroit, MI OR Schaumburg, IL (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
Manages and leads a Dealership Inventory Insurance program to ensure a profitable portfolio. Evaluates risks according to location, physical and moral hazards, underwriting guidelines and loss experience to accept, decline, or modify submissions. Also, evaluates information received concerning risk characteristics, inspection reports, producer information, etc. May review loss experience of individual accounts and assigned territory.
The Work Itself Serves as a consultant to producers and customer service personnel and claim personnel, as requiredWill serve as Program Manager managing team of designated underwriters, handling referrals based on the authority outlined in underwriting guidelinesWill submit complex or unusual risks or exposures and risks exceeding personal underwriting authority to line-of-business head for approvalEstablish and maintain program framework as it relates to guidelines, risk appetite, and potential program overlapOversee program's underwriting (relationships, personnel/team, documentation, and pipelines)Manage, develop, and train team to support the underwriting, in line with Business Plan for inventory productsProject planning and tactical execution: propose strategic plans and communicate on statuses and risks in a timely mannerDisplay complex underwriting/quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise mannerLead special projects to improve efficiencies and support strategic vision of the businessThe Skills You Bring 5+ years in financial services with Insurance and/or Underwriting experience preferred2+ years leadership experience preferredAbility to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertiseAdvanced analytical, customer service, and communication skillsLeveraging technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business resultsIntermediate Excel and other Microsoft suites productsProficient P&C/ADI program and product knowledge preferredWorking experience with R3 and Salesforce preferred How We'll Have Your Back

Base Pay Range: $90000 - $125000 USDAn individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
