Job Description
Define clear, user-centric messaging so the core features and benefits are communicated in a way that is intuitive and resonates with users.
Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for sites interface, including microcopy, keep the user engaged, motivate them to drive key actions and reduce friction.
Write and edit clear copy for product features, including navigational elements and error messages
Edit and proofread copy, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accessibility.
Leverage best practices, metrics, qualitative, and quantitative research to validate copy decisions and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align copy with the product design, user needs, and overall product strategy.
Follow Assurant brand guidelines to maintain consistency in tone and messaging and to create a cohesive experience across web portal.
Experience in connecting business goals, research insights, and product goals to create and iterate effective user experiences.
Job Overview:
A client of Insight Global is looking for a nearshore UX Content Writer to join their self-service claims team. As a UX Writer, you will be responsible for creating user-friendly, accessible, and on-brand content for our self-service web portals. You will work closely with UX designers and product managers to ensure the sites interface is both clear and compelling, providing users with a seamless experience. You will create content for digital products that is readable, scannable, and considers all types of content needed in the flow to create microcopy and ensure clear usable insight with the right tone consistently. It is helpful to have a content first design mentality with users needs of the content driving the design. The ideal candidate will have experience creating action or task-oriented types of content to motivate users to complete a task such as checking out, filing a claim, reviewing their account, etc. The pay ranges based off years of experience and skill level between $20-35/hour.

Skills and Requirements
Native or advanced English speaker
5+ years of experience in UX writing and content strategy. (outside of school/personal experience)
A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to write for digital interfaces.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, human readable instructions.
Experience writing for task oriented or self-service websites.
Experience in connecting business goals, research insights, and product goals to create and iterate effective user experiences.
Experience working with Figma and familiarity with design workflows.
You're a commanding storyteller who distills complex problems and proposes simple, elegant solutions.
Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and inclusive writing practices.
Ability to define patterns and advocate for consistency without repressing inspiration or inhibiting innovation.
A passion for simplifying complex ideas and making user experiences more enjoyable.
Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven content optimization.
You are a natural problem solver with the ability to successfully juggle multiple demands, prioritize multiple concurrent initiatives across multiple teams, deliver under tight timelines, and adapt to change
Attention to detail and passion for best-in-class content and design
Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, information architecture, and writing
You're a great storyteller verbally and in writing, and behaviorally. You can generate and communicate your research, conceptual ideas, and writing; all within a structured user-centered process.
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills is a must as the role requires active collaboration with product owners, UX peers, business stakeholders, and corporate brand marketing.
Experience with agile/scrum.
Self-motivated, flexible, organized, and accountable. Bachelors degree in Design, Copywriting, English, or a related field.
Experience in the insurance and claims interfaces (is highly desirable (though not necessary) null
