Intake Assessment Representative

The Access Services Technician is responsible for verifying patient eligibility for the Medicare and/or Medicaid Hospice Benefit. This position enters patient demographic and insurance information into an electronic medical record.  Assures that information obtained upfront related to payor and demographics is accurate and complete. The Access Services Technician works closely with other Access Services staff to ensure responsiveness to referral sources with the appropriate follow through. The Access Services Technician completes intermittent Hospice/QA projects as needed. A customer service focus and the ability to work with computers and an electronic medical record are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training - Previous electronic medical records Or equivalent educ/experience 6 months General office experience, preferably in a health care environment 6 months experience with electronic medical records
