Responsibilities

Excel in Customer service

Excel in knowledge of insurance guidelines, understand and process benefits for financials

Determine all necessary documents require for proper processing (orders, clinical notes, testing etc.) to meet insurance guidelines

Request/pull additional documentation from referral EMR

Proficient in using Medicare IVR for verification needs

Collect payments from patients when required

Create case management contracts and follow up for signed copies

o Create sales order and forward to dispatch

Request/submit insurance authorization when required

Log initial DWO/CMN and authorizations

Verify/confirm contact information with patient for delivery

Maintain communication with hospital and facilities regarding order process via Careport, All Scripts, DME scripts and other communication platforms

Mentorship of new hires, (on the job training)

Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/manager

 

Requirements

Meets and excels at all Intake 1 Duties

Customer service skills, computer skills, knowledge of job duties of team 1, ability to multitask and prioritize, insurance knowledge

Must have minimum six months intake experience in DME industry or meet weekly KPI expectations for role
