Intake Specialist
Description We are in search of an Intake Specialist to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. The role is primarily centered around managing high volume inbound calls in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be initiating the intake process, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient processing of customer applications. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity and is part of the healthcare industry. Responsibilities: • Engage in the processing of various customer requests, inquiries, and transactions through phone, email, fax, and mail. • Conduct reviews of requests to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Offer support to both internal and external customers via phone or email. • Document all relevant information related to calls or inquiries, attach supporting information as applicable, and route to the appropriate area for follow up as needed. • Analyze gathered data to provide feedback to Team Leads about employee development needs and/or particular providers requiring education on the prior approval or pre-certification process. • Screen inquiries to determine if authorization is required. • Verify member benefits and eligibility and/or provider setup. • Maintain and update Service Requests and investigate incorrect or missing information. • Efficiently triage and assign all incoming inquiries to appropriate staff throughout the day. • Conduct Peer Audits monthly as required. • Provide clinical review outcome notification to members and providers verbally and in writing. Requirements • Proficiency in Research, Quality, Review, and Auditing skills • Knowledge of About Time, Benefit Functions, and Hiring Processes • Ability to handle Financial Notes, Data Analysis, and Authorizations • Experience in managing Missing Invoices and ensuring accuracy • Capability to communicate with Appropriate Personnel in a Health Care setting • Familiarity with Call Center Operations and experience in handling External Customers • Skilled in Fax operations, Triage, and Service Request Management • Experience in High Volume Call Center and Clinical review environments Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
