THE WORK
Are you an experienced strategic communicator and team player who enjoys coming up with creative ideas, supporting business leadership and taking a proactive approach to communications? Do you have experience in production operations and communication with the front-line workforce? Join the Sikorsky communications team within Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area for an exciting role supporting the production operations team.
Reporting to the Sikorsky Communications Manager, the Communications Representative is a multi-channel communicator who is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies supporting the business.
This candidate will also support rapid response and crisis communications for the Sikorsky sites and drive the communications strategy across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead the execution and measurement of comprehensive communication plans to inform and engage employees in operations, and other functions.
• Work closely with functional partners on culture initiatives and other campaigns.
• Support rapid response and crisis communications.
This role will require attendance onsite a minimum of two days a week and/or as business needs require. Due to mission requirements, the successful candidate will be based at our site in Stratford, Connecticut.

Basic Qualifications:
Prior experience planning, executing and measuring integrated communications strategies. Front-line operations communications experience is a plus.
• Excellent written communications skills
• Responsibilities include day-to-day support across a variety of communications materials, such as strategies, talking points, memos, webcasts, leader calls, etc.
• Motivated, proactive self-starter who performs independently and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Proven quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency
Desired Skills:
• Strong understanding of AP Style
• Ability to plan, organize and support employee and organizational activities, and executive communications
• Experience developing successful communications reaching front-line employees on the manufacturing floor
• Understanding of analytics and analysis methods

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
