Integration and Test Engineer
System Integration and Test Engineer Location: Grand Prairie, TX Job ID: #70201 Pay Range: $61-72 Job Description Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems. This Integration and Test position is in support of a missile program and will include technical and programmatic duties. Duties include support of subsystem integration and testing, flight testing, use of automated test equipment during missile processing, and preparation of test related documentation. Primary duties involve test conduct during Design Verification Testing (DVT) in labs such as the Environmental Test Lab and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) lab. This role will also require developing procedures for missile functional testing using automated test equipment. This role will also require the candidate to assemble and test mockup missiles and live ordnance flight test missiles plus support flight testing at a Government Test Range requiring some travel for flight test operations. This individual will communicate technical status and issues internally to program and functional leadership, as well as externally to customers. Works closely with the technical leads on program to ensure appropriate staffing and resources and makes certain that appropriate reviews are conducted to ensure engineering excellence. Candidate must be comfortable coordinating with various groups to ensure program requirements are being met and in support of various test activities. Basic Qualifications: • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field is required. • Experience with missile systems including launch systems and targeting/fire control elements • Experience developing standard operating procedures for missile processing, test plans and test reports. • Active secret clearance preferred, willing to consider candidates with a previously held active clearance. Interim secret clearance required to start position. Desired Skills: • Experience planning and coordinating flight test missions. • Experience being part of a flight test team.
