The successful candidate will support equipment light off, integration, testing, troubleshooting, preventative, and corrective maintenance and crew training on the MK-99 Fire Control System equipment group for the AEGIS Modernization Team (AMT) based in San Diego, CA.

Applicant must have proven ship riding experience with AEGIS Guided Missile Cruisers (CG), or AEGIS Destroyers (DDG). The position will require shift work, short notice schedule changes, occasional weekend and holiday work, brief at-sea periods while supporting AMT as well as new construction AEGIS Test Teams, Ballistic Missile Defense Test Program, and FCS Readiness Assessments during breaks in the AMT schedule.

When not supporting the AMT test program, the successful candidate will be expected to support business and TDY travel to all locations domestic and international that AEGIS ships might operate to provide MK99 Fire Control System expertise while troubleshooting and repairing equipment casualties and supporting training of Sailors/Technicians during FCS maintenance and troubleshooting efforts. Travel locations outside San Diego include, but are not limited to: Yokosuka, Japan; Chinhae, South Korea; Rota, Spain; Pearl Harbor, HI; Pascagoula, MS; Everett, WA: Mayport, FL; Norfolk, VA, and Bath, ME.

The successful candidate will possess a knowledge of the MK99 Fire Control system Equipment Group, MK99 Fire Control System equipment safety and standard operation procedures, Planned Maintenance System (PMS) procedures and a thorough understanding of digital, analog, and microwave test practices.

The ability to work in a diverse corporate/cultural team environment is required. Excellent technical writing skills are required. Candidate should possess strong personal computing skills to include experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Basic Qualifications:
• Proven successful experience as a MK99 FCS equipment group technician.

• Experience using the Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS) in support of equipment testing and maintenance as well as standard test equipment to include Volt Ohm Meter, Differential Volt Meter, High Voltage Probe, Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, and RF Power Meter.

• Up to 50% travel is required for this position.

• This position requires work on Naval Vessels, both in-port and underway. Employee will be expected to work in confined spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs.

Desired Skills:
MK99 Fire Control System experience in any of the following is a plus: TSRA, AMOD, BMD, Combat System Equipment Installation Engineering, US Navy equipment change installation (FC, ECP, ORDALT, Ship Alt, FMB), Wire wrap. Aegis Weapon system (AWS) support systems (Dry Air, Cooling Skids, 400Hz Frequency Converters).

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $60,800 - $116,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $69,900 - $126,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
