Job purpose
The Intergration Scientist responsibilities are to plan and perform experiments with limited supervision, document results and/or reports of experiments using Good Documentation Practices.
Duties and responsibilities:
Strong understanding of microbiological processes and infectious diseases Oversee the integration of engineering, microbiology and molecular biology expertise to develop and optimize diagnostic platforms, with a focus on infectious diseases Extensive knowledge in Molecular Research, Biochemistry techniques and sequencing Plan, execute and record scientific and technical work ensuring that platform development complies with ISO 13485 standards for successful design transfer to Manufacturing Plan and manage project activities, including transferring bench assay SOP onto integrated prototype instrumentsPerform assay development and validation for methods applicable for in vitro diagnostics Develop and review cartridge and instrument design for platform integrationProvide technical guidance for failure analysisAnalyze data, evaluate results and design future experiments Author technical reports with several contributors, present material in internal and external meetings
Qualifications include:
Knowledge of standard and project-specific laboratory practices and procedures Ability to prioritize and multi-task, be detail oriented and to follow standard operating procedures Ability to follow general and project-specific laboratory safety practices Ability to follow standard operating procedures Excellent technical writing skills and ability to summarize complex experimental data Ability to write SOP, WI, and technical reports Ability to work collaboratively with scientists, engineers, bioinformaticians and other employees across programs to maintainalignment of activities with increased accountability and influence Ability to lead a small project or a team and provide technical expertise and leadership Ability to technically develop more inexperienced scientists and/or research associates
Experience/Education:
B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, or other relevant field with 2-5 years industry experience or other relevant experienceNGS IVD product development experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $46.00
