Integration & Test Engineer
Job Title: Integration & Test EngineerJob Description We are seeking an Integration & Test Engineer to join our team to support the Global SATCOM Configuration Control Element (GSCCE) program. The GSCCE system is designed to manage and control the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites, providing high-capacity communications for military operations. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting various systems, contributing to system documentation, performing software integration, and conducting formal test events. Responsibilities + Maintain, update, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Operating Systems, Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Management, VMware products, and Cisco networking devices. + Contribute to system installation and maintenance procedure documentation. + Perform software integration issue triage. + Integrate and troubleshoot message buses, database access, and Python processes or similar. + Analyze the space-to-ground ICD to understand configurable digital telemetry functions and create automated testing scripts using Eggplant or a similar language. + Design, develop, and implement manual and automated software unit and system-level tests in an integrated environment. + Determine the verification approach for system requirements and isolate software and system-level defects. + Conduct and participate in formal test events at customer sites with government witnesses to validate system capabilities. + Install and troubleshoot GSCCE software versions at worldwide locations. Essential Skills + Ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship). + Familiarization with automated testing tools and languages, including Python and Eggplant. + Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting engineering tasks for a complex system. + Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework for DoD Systems and analyzing or implementing Cyber Security controls. + Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds, and implement and document corrective actions across multiple systems and components. + Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage numerous demonstration events simultaneously. + Willingness to execute ad hoc troubleshooting and problem analysis to support testing and the overall test environment operation. + Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently as well as within a team. + Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship). + Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM command and control (C2) systems. + Experience with SATCOM systems, products, and interfaces. + Familiarity with the Wideband Global Satellite constellation, mission, and ground control systems (greatly desired, but not absolutely necessary). + Familiarity with Git repository maintenance, Ansible scripting, and PowerShell scripting (desired, but not absolutely necessary). + Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools such as Jira and Confluence. + Experience with test process development, test case design, test procedure development, test execution, system evaluation, and test reporting. + Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration, test planning, test development, and test execution. Work Environment This position is onsite at our facility on Wooten Rd, with a planned relocation to our facility in Colorado Springs in the next several months. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
