Summary This position is located within the 136 AW in Fort Worth, TX. The purpose of the position is to organize, and produce intelligence augmentation products for and in concert with the Gaining Command's Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) and to train assigned military Intelligence Squadron members in the duties and functions associated with the intelligence organization in the Gaining Command AOC. Responsibilities As a Intelligence Operations Specialist with the Texas Air National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to: Assures the Intelligence Squadron maintains a capability to provide appropriate Gaining Command entities with timely fused intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel, during peace time operations. Administers daily targeting, collections, and analysis of the assigned portion of the Gaining Command Area of Responsibility (AOR). Coordinates with the Gaining Command on intelligence elements (collections, analysis and/or targeting) needed to carry out coordination and liaison with counterparts and colleagues in such other major command intelligence organizations as Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Mobility Command (AMC), Air National Guard Bureau Headquarters (NGB), United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE), Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) and such other governmental agencies as Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Security Agency (NSA), U.S. Space Command (SPACECOM), Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency (AFISR Agency), and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Incumbent represents the organization at interagency conferences and meetings that deal with specialty functions and intelligence-specific roles in the AOC. Relays requirements and works toward harmonious working relationships with all intelligence contacts. During contingency operations, provides assistance in the form of offensive and defensive information operations support, collections, targeting, and analysis, either from home station and/or via travel to the Gaining Command. Coordinates intelligence participation in appropriate exercises for force-level AOC training. Supports active participation in Gaining Command crisis action planning to include both pre-exercise and real world contingencies. Coordinates directly with the Gaining Command to rewrite the AOC procedure regulations that govern how training integrates with the Gaining Command's AOC requirements. Provides guidance and assistance to AIS and Gaining Command Intelligence specialists and serves to coordinate on projects jointly undertaken by the AIS, Gaining Command, and other organizations. Ensures the AIS Directorate and the Gaining Command's Intelligence force-level entity are able to work closely together to coordinate rapid dissemination of critical intelligence information concerning the tasked AOR. Both intelligence entities provide SCI and collateral current intelligence highlights. Incumbent is recognized as an organization expert within functional assignment. Incumbent is empowered to commit personnel and squadron intelligence resources to missions and special exercises, including coordinating with outside agencies, under the general direction of supervisor. Incumbent represents the AOG and the AIS in making agreements and commitments within the scope of his/her assigned functional area of expertise. Coordinates with Gaining Command ISRD training requirements, which encompass separate and distinct specialties in the Intelligence career field. Plans and develops objectives and work schedules for assigned intelligence personnel during Unit Training Assemblies (UTA), Annual Training (AT), and unit deployments. Identifies training requirements and conducts or organizes training courses for intelligence personnel on a variety of technical subjects including proper handling of classified material, target development and weaponeering, collection platform capabilities and employment, as well as weapons systems tactics and geopolitical considerations. Upon compiling the training requirements, incumbent works with the AOG Group Training section to identify shortfalls and develop plans to correct them. Determines the best course of action regarding sensor use in collections, enemy strengths and capabilities in analysis, and command and control centers of gravity in targeting. Identifies the best techniques to utilize in order to achieve the desired results. When assigned, incumbent prepares, justifies, and manages the Intelligence Squadron budget. Budgets for the acquisition of Intelligence support systems in long-term planning models due to systems expense and frequency of antiquation. Conducts research and analysis, and, based on thorough understanding of the significance of conditions and trends, develops and projects data and draws meaningful conclusions and clear estimates based on current and past intelligence situations. Briefs analysis findings and estimates to superiors, planners, and policy makers. Publishes finished reports and documents for use by decision-makers in the AOG and Gaining Command. Performs other duties as assigned.
