INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist in the Intelligence Dept., Analysis & Targeting Division of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will serve as a subject matter expert on intelligence analysis, trade craft, and processes in all-source intelligence analysis and targeting. You will provide technical advice on a wide range of complex analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information and assessments. You will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and integrate complex data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of developments in assigned areas and in preparing new or revising established intelligence products. You will plan, implement, and maintain data for intelligence assignments required to process all-source intelligence and the production of technical or operational intelligence in an assigned area. You will identify intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps, and develop analytic tools and methodologies to close gaps. You will maintain liaison with personnel in other intelligence agencies, laboratories, services, and allied foreign governments to discuss production requirements and provide information. You will serve as the activity representative at inter-agency and international meetings and conferences. You will present and defend activity positions or issues in assigned areas. You may serve as chairperson of working groups or committees at inter-agency forums or international conferences; Conducts detailed network analysis while serving as the subject matter expert in persona-based targeting. You will maintain up-to-date situational awareness on threat capabilities and intentions while identifying changes to personnel, equipment, and capabilities. You will review and evaluate incoming intelligence reports, information, collections, and programs in order to identify and resolve information gaps. Serves as a consultant and advisor on intelligence matters to senior leaders. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Create or revise intelligence products based on assessments of complex data from multiple sources to provide a wide range of technical advice to senior leaders; 2) Maintain databases required for processing all-source material and for the production of technical or operational intelligence; 3) Identify intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps, and develop analytic tools and methodologies to close gaps; and 4) Review and evaluate incoming intelligence reports, information, collections, and programs in order to identify and resolve information gaps.
