Position Purpose:
At Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Registered Nurse RN in the Intensive Care Unit ICU delivers patient care to individuals in critical condition.
What you will do:
The Registered Nurse RN will assume responsibility for 2-3 Critical Care Patients, conducting assessments, devising care plans, and adjusting critical drips to ensure hemodynamic stability and appropriate sedation levels.
The RN will attend to patients requiring advanced monitoring, heightened observation, utilization of invasive equipment, and administration of intricate medication regimens.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. A preference is given to candidates with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree.
Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of MSICU, CICU, or Neuro ICU nursing experience is required. Position WILL NOT train.
BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
ACLS and TNCC: Required within three months of hire.
**Position is not available for training or Graduate Nurse Residency candidates.**
Position Highlights and Benefits:
Full-Time – Weekends Only – 12-Hr Day Shift.
You will be on duty for 24 hours from 7:00 pm Friday through 7:30 am Monday. This will consist of two 12-HR shifts, working 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
If the Holiday does not fall within these hours, it is not considered part of the weekend schedule.
Colleagues will receive an extra differential pay during the 24 hours worked and base pay during the additional 6 non-worked hours. Additionally, all evening and night shift differentials apply during the 24 hours worked.
**Experience Nurses with one (1) or more years of expertise receive additional hourly specialty pay, enhancing the base pay compensation
