Intensive Registered Nurse - Full-Time/Part-Time/Overnight (New Horizons/Crisis Receiving Center) ($5,000 Sign on Bonus)

NRVCS is actively seeking full-time and part-time difference-makers to enhance our team at the 23-hour crisis center and or New Horizons in Radford, VA. You will have a daily opportunity to change the direction of individuals' lives in this supportive, client-centered setting. We take the motto “It's Our Responsibility to Care” seriously. Intensive Registered Nurses use their knowledge and experience to come alongside individuals experiencing a mental-health related crisis. They are invaluable members of the wellness and recovery team. In addition to providing hope for healing, Intensive RN's work collaboratively to ensure service coordination for optimal living in the community.

Starting Salary: $61,841-Depending on Experience

Education/Experience Required:

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing with a valid Virginia Registered Nursing License. QMHP eligibility or status. Valid Virginia driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Clinical knowledge of the nature of serious mental illness, substance use disorders, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. Thorough knowledge of the use of medications in the care of the populations served. Knowledge of community supports and eligibility criteria to include health care, community resources, and treatment options for individuals with a mental health, substance use, or developmental disability. Knowledge of diverse types of assessments, including functional assessments, and their uses in service planning. Knowledge of treatment modalities and intervention techniques, such as behavior supports, independent living skills, training, supportive counseling, family education, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and service coordination. Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and local ordinances (examples include Human Rights, Medicaid and Medicare guidelines as they pertain to Waiver, State Plan, Medicare-D, and Clinic Options, Assisted Living Regulations, etc.)
