Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will implement the Shore Facilities Planning System (SFPS) to guarantee accurate determinations of facility requirements and the optimum use of existing facilities. You will prepare project descriptions using the shore planning facility requirements and communication with tenant organizations or in-house staff. You will lead multi-disciplined teams involved with base and asset development. You will use basic proficiency in information technology, such as Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Interoperable Enterprise Facilities Management (ieFACMAN), and eProjects, You will identify compatible land use and safety issues in performing facility planning (e.g., Hazardous Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance [HERO], Air Installations Compatible Use Zone [AICUZ]). You will make recommendations to decision-makers based on sound economic analysis. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience. Examples of 1) Overseeing the application of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and related environmental programs for an organization; 2) Reviewing NEPA documentation, including Record of Categorical Exclusions (RCEs), Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statement (EISs) for various actions; and 3) Applying knowledge of a wide range of theories, principles, concepts, practices, standards and methods of natural resources management, biological and physical sciences in managing the NEPA program for an organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
