Job Description
This Interior Architect will contribute to the design process, focusing on technical planning, detailing, and producing high-quality project documents from design inception through construction completion, working under the guidance of a project manager.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project teams to interpret, organize, and execute design for various projects, with a focus on hospitality interiors.Prepare design presentations, including sketches and material boards, and produce working drawings, and construction details.Work on projects through all phases of work, from concept through completion.Assist with the preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.Understand space planning and layout design, including floor plans and elevations.Prepare and present design presentations and proposals to clients.Produce high-quality architectural drawings, specifications, and other project documents.Create detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.Collaborate with other team members, including architects, engineers, and consultants, to ensure project consistency and accuracy.Participate in project meetings.Essential Skills5-8 years of experience in Hospitality or Hotel projects, specifically in luxury settings.Proficiency in Revit, with the ability to pass a Revit test.Experience in interiors, particularly guest rooms.Strong skills in design, construction documents, and design presentations.Knowledge of specifications and the ability to create detailed architectural drawings.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Rhino, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.Familiarity with international luxury, resort-like, or major hotel brands such as Hilton and Marriott.Experience in multiple disciplines, including residential, commercial, cultural, educational, retail, and yacht projects.Work Environment
The firm is a multidisciplinary design studio located in a beautiful office in Chinatown, overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge.
With a team of 17-20 employees, the firm offers a design-driven environment that values understated luxury and warm minimalism.
Schedule
Employees typically work in the office five days a week, with some remote flexibility.
The firm offers 14 holidays throughout the year, including major national holidays and an extended break in December.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $43.00/hr.
