Job Title: Interior Assembler
Job Description

We are seeking an Experienced Aircraft Cabin Interior Specialist to support the Interior Repair Team in Final Assembly & Join Verification of the 787 Program. This role involves performing decorative interior repairs on assemblies made from various materials, including fiberglass, plastic, and composites, using methods such as painting and sweep and fill. The job is performed at various stages of the aircraft assembly process, in both factory and flight line locations.

ResponsibilitiesInspect and repair aircraft interior components, including seats, overhead bins, lavatories, galleys, and carpeting.Perform routine maintenance checks on aircraft interiors.Use and maintain various tools and equipment necessary for the job.Read and interpret aircraft interior layout plans and drawings.Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets set standards and regulations.Perform upholstery work such as repairing, rebuilding, and fabricating interior parts.Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to be sealed.Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and FOD-free work area.Possess understanding and knowledge of basic computer systems and programs.Perform tasks involving rotation of head/neck, bending and twisting at the waist, walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, climbing/balancing, flexion/extension, lifting and carrying less than 10 pounds, and working in elevated and/or confined spaces.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience working on aircraft interiors.Experience with decorative finishes, including file, sand, paint, decorative laminate ('declam'), and cosmetic rework.Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents.Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).Additional Skills & QualificationsFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred.Previous experience with 787 interior systems and components.1+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience working with decorative finishes.1+ years of experience specialized in design and/or analysis of aircraft interior modifications.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will work in large teams and need to be open to working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts. The typical shift times are from 5:30am. The work environment includes the use of basic hand tools, specialized tools, and measurement and inspection tools. You will be working in both factory and flight line locations, involving tasks that require physical effort and attention to detail.

This is a Contract position based out of NORTH CHARLESTON, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00
