Position Summary:
The Interior Project Design Manager works closely with the entirety of the Design Team to support, and execute every scope of work offered to clients. They use their years of experience and expertise to understand our team and our clients, to help achieve hospitality design success.
Essential Duties:
Departmental and Client Responsibilities
Report to the Director of Interior Design Responsible for keeping the Design Director fully informed of decisions, deadlines, problems and solutions regarding all aspects of the project Attend, Lead and participate in design meetings and presentations including the taking of notes and minutes (including assembling and dispersing them in a timely manner) Coordinate, attend and guide design workshops as required Develop concept design to meet owner’s requirements Lead and coordinate a team of Design Managers, Design Specialist and Assistants Guide and prepare design analysis, research and preliminary design studies Oversee the preparation of design presentations for approval Oversee the production of design intent documents and design drawings through all phases Oversee the design and manage to a given budget Coordinate with internal and external consultants to integrate requirements and meet overall project objectives Ensure issued information is accurate and meets client and project team requirements Manage and guide work programming and reporting on project progress Undertake site inspections and surveys Ensure office standards and appropriate levels of quality are met on each phase Producing consistent work on time, and to a high professional standardSales and Business Development (BD)
Gain proficiency of Troon Design Studio’s corporate values, positioning, and brand voice Gain proficiency of overall Troon sales processes and outcomes Gain proficiency in proposal and contract generation Gain proficiency in Salesforce for use as a tool to manage project, BD and sales efforts Support Design Team with Salesforce upkeep as needed Develop and maintain client relationships
Education/Experience:
Experience: Minimum 6-10 years in a Design PM role or equivalent role at a different firm Bachelors Degree from a FIDER accredited Interior Design program preferred

Physical Demands:
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance.

Certificates/Licenses:
NCIDQ Certification or State License Preferred or an interest in becoming licensed
