Job Description
An Interior Designer is responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing indoor spaces. They work with clients to understand their needs and preferences, develop design concepts, and oversee the implementation of these designs.
ResponsibilitiesMeet with clients to discuss their design needs and preferences.Create initial design sketches and concepts.Develop detailed plans using CAD software.Select materials, furniture, and décor to match the design concept.Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure project completion.Manage project timelines and budgets.Ensure designs comply with safety and building regulations.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Interior Design.3-5 years of professional experience.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar.Strong creative and artistic skills.Excellent communication and project management abilities.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsRevitConstruction document preparationSpace planningWork Environment
Standard architecture office with offices and cubicles, located in downtown Indianapolis in a great location close to many restaurants and bars. The company offers a hybrid work schedule with 2 days a week being remote, with mandatory office presence on Mondays for project and studio meetings.
