Interior Designer Job Description We are currently seeking an Interior Designer with experience in multifamily, cultural, educational, and/or institutional projects. The Interior Designer will work alongside the Lead Interior Designer to develop and design the interiors for a major institutional project in NYC. There will be opportunities in the future to design interiors for multi-family residential and cultural projects. Responsibilities + Produce drawings and renderings + Create presentations for clients + Work with construction documents + Select furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) + Mentor junior designers on projects + Put together finishes and mood boards + Understand how to layout a set of drawings Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design + 8+ years of professional experience + Proficient in Revit + Experience designing large scale and complex projects - Educational, civic, healthcare, multi-family + Strong understanding of design and technical aspects of the project + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Ability to collaborate well with internal and external team members and consultants Additional Skills & Qualifications + Interior design + Interior architecture + Sketchup + FF&E + Conceptual design + Schematic design + Adobe Creative Suite + AutoCAD Work Environment 80-person firm The open and spacious office overlooks the water and has plenty of natural light. Schedule The work schedule is hybrid, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. Office hours are from 9:00am to 6:00pm. The culture is very collaborative, with opportunities to speak and work with many people throughout the firm. The firm also offers lunch and learns and various happy hour events. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
