Job Title: Interior Designer II

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer II who will work on K12/Higher Education projects. You will be involved in the production of construction documents, leading technical drawings and specifications, coordinating work with other disciplines, and assuming construction administration duties.

ResponsibilitiesLead the production of technical drawings and specifications.Coordinate the related work of other disciplines.Assume construction administration duties on projects.Establish accurate parameters of the design work including code, site restrictions, budget, and schedule restraints.Identify building systems options and related performance and cost criteria.Assist in the presentation of design documents.Assist with daily activities of the architectural project team and monitor progress.Perform quality reviews of projects as assigned.Detail architectural elements in documents.Assist with construction administration activities such as review of submittals, site visits, addressing construction issues, and providing direction to contractors.Manage projects and mentor staff in collaboration with the Project Manager.Help maintain and improve office architectural standards, details, and production tools.Essential SkillsProficiency in Revit.Experience with construction documents and knowledge of building construction.3-7 years of interior design experience.Experience with K12/Higher Education projects.Ability to detail architectural elements in documents.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a Project Architect or Project Manager in a previous firm.10+ years of commercial architecture/building experience.Experience with healthcare, design, industrial projects, and construction administration.Knowledge of Bluebeam.Experience mentoring designers and drafters.PA license is not required.Work Environment

The position is based in the office with a schedule of four days in-office and one day remote (Fridays). The team specializes in K12/Higher Education work, with strong support for remote consultants. The company also has studios focusing on Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Retail projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
