Your Role
As a Gensler Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have conceptual and technical delivery/documentation design skills for interior architecture and interior design projects, and you have a portfolio showcasing your innovative designs. A focus for the role will be designing Hospitality, Multifamily Residential, and Mixed Use projects.
You are an integral member of the design team who itches to contribute a point of view and craves participation in all phases of our projects from conceptual thought process and design exploration through construction administration. With you as part of our team, interiors have never been so engaging.
What You Will Do
Visioning and programming for interior design projects, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, shop drawing reviews, code compliance, and construction administrationParticipate in the selection and documentation of furniture, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and decorative lightingGenerate finish plans, RCPs, lighting plans, specifications, material selections, and millwork drawings and detailsProvide design support and documentation during project executionCoordinate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricatorsIntegrate new technology and tools on projects (AR, VR, computational design, etc.)Support design presentations and develop effective client relationships as trusted advisorSupport marketing and business development efforts as neededGuide and mentor teammatesQA/QC specifications and construction document setsStrive to elevate design quality on every project, and foster and cultivate a culture of design in the officeChampion Gensler’s inclusion goals with respect to teammates, partners, and consultants
