Interior Designer
CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a cleared Government Interior Designer to support the Commanders Action Group (CAG) and United States Transportation Command's (USTRANSCOM’s) owned/operated buildings to formulate design plan for renovation and rebuilding requirements. Responsibilities include: + Analyze needs, proposing options and, working with the client, developing specific solutions; developing design documents, including contract working drawings and specifications. + Assess specified spaces (hallways, command suites, foyers, etc.) of various USTRANSCOM owned/operated buildings in their current state to formulate design plan recommendations to aide TCCC in formulating, presenting and communicating USTRANSCOM’s story. + Create functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces by assessing space requirements, determining optimal furniture placement, and selecting decorative items such as artwork, created multimedia visuals, graphics, etc. + Perform market research, cost estimation, and identification of available vendors. + Develop project milestones with mutually agreed upon deadlines and oversee all phases of each project in coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and/or assigned functional lead as required. Work Environment: + Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment). + Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Please visit the link for FAQs: https://www.dcsa.mil/mc/pv/mbi/gicp/). + Knowledge from a variety of fields such as; + Interior construction (building systems and components, building codes, equipment, materials, and furnishings, working drawings and specification, codes and standards). + Contracting (cost estimates, bid proposals, negotiations, contract awards, site visits during construction, pre- and post-occupancy evaluations). + Facility operation (maintenance requirements, traffic patterns, security and fire protection). + Aesthetics (sense of scale, proportion, and form; color, texture, and finishes; style and visual imagery. + Design project and resource coordination. + Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus. + Professional proficiency in English is required. + This position supports a U.S. Government contract; per the Return to In-Person Work executive order, this position may change to 100% on client site and the candidate will be required to align work accordingly. + Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
