The Building People has a position for a full-time Interior Architect in a prominent federal agency in the Washington, DC area. The successful candidate will have a solid background in all aspects of interior design and related construction planning and development. The team is actively involved in small and large project design development, construction document preparation and project execution of unique projects. This position requires  travel in the Continental United States. Responsibilities/Duties Provides leadership developing complex solutions for planning, architectural and interior designs Plans, designs, reviews and coordinates complex engineering or design tasks in support of project accomplishment Applies engineering skills and abilities to complete necessary calculations to determine feasibility or different design options Provides space utilization planning, functional relationships, office and furniture layouts, and design finish options Present data and plans to all stakeholders– both in person and via email, phone and other means of communication media.
